Antique French Louis XV Style Painted with Gilt Highlights, Round, Tabouret or Round Stool  Upholstered in Needlepoint – Wheels on feet– Good Antique Condition – Rubs and Chips to paint consistent with age – Late 1800’s

This round French tabouret is covered in a beautiful old needlepoint with a feathered acanthus leaf design.  The background color is a pale ecru and the leaves have reds, pinks, and golds with a pale blue gimp around the circumference .  The old paint color is a wonderful French grey/green over a base of pale blue.  Classic Louis XV floral designs are highlighted with old gilt paint.  The legs are gentle s-curves decorated with acanthus and terminating in scrolled feet with an acanthus leaf known as roquillards.
