Ring jugs were made by potters in the nineteenth century to demonstrate their skills at the potting wheel. This example is exceptionally large and impressive. It was made with an applied foot and a handle on the form of a snake. It has an Albany slip glaze and is in very good condition. It measures 13" tall and is 10" in diameter.
