The Henry Clay Rosedown Armoire, double door

Made by Crawford Rundell, this armoire was commissioned by the supporters of Henry Clay, intended for the White House. When Clay lost, cotton tycoon Daniel Turnbull bought this for his majestic home, Rosedown Plantation. Circa 1844
