Antique Boiserie Panel with Water Gilding

This is an antique boiserie panel from France. It is painted and gilded, and is in good condition. We believe it to be from circa 1900.

The piece was part of an entire boiserie (wooden paneled room). It's in the style of Louis XIV, the Sun King of France. It is a matte pale green, and the moldings are gilded over gesso and red bole on wood. The ornamentation has stylized sunflower shells, gadrooned leaves, bellflowers, and acanthus leaves.
