IT HAS A SERPENTINE BACKSPLASH AND TOP OVERDRAWER,PANELED DOORS AND IS FLANKED BY ENGAGED COLONETTES,SPHERULE FEET AND MOUNTED WITH FIVE FINE EGLOMISE ROUNDELS OF PENNSYLVANIA FLUVIAL SCENES. HEIGHT IS 37 1/4 INCHES, WIDTH IS 34 1/2 INCHES, DEPTH IS 19 1/4 INCHES mounted with five fine églomisé roundels of Pennsylvania fluvial scenes, height 37 1/4 in., width 34 1/2 in., depth 19 1/4 in. Note: The églomisé panel on the top of this commode is a mid-19th c. scene of Benjamin Latrobe's Philadelphia Waterworks building (built 1808-1811); the secondary roundels on the case panels appear to be scenes of tributaries of the Schuylkill River upstream of the city.
