This antique French fruitwood settee has ornamentation that has been beautifully hand carved out of the wood, not applied.  It has floral, rocaille shells, c-scrolls, scrolling vines, acanthus leaves and gadrooned acanthus leaves.  Straight line moldings are interrupted by beautifully done carvings, typical of the Louis XV period’s asymmetrical lines.
This lovely antique French settee will seat two very comfortably. Condition:  Slight marks to upholstery; previous restorations
