Superb William IV Metamorphic armchair with gilded scrolled arm supports.
This remarkable chair is winged (for comfort) and will recline to almost flat (with a mechanical lever under the right arm). What appears to be the front reeded rail pulls out to form a supported leg cushion.
The front legs are boldly turned and all four casters are original (note the“reach” of the back legs for style and stability).
