Dovetailed box

A wonderful small personal box.  Of dovetail construction having oxidized brass hinges and a hand made tin hasp.  Cherry and chestnut retaining an old or original red painted surface.
Signed on the underside of the lid; “ Enos Bassett  Hamden (CT)  Nov 10th 1805”.
