A Gilt and Mahogany Classical Mirror with Village/Small Town Scene, c.1820

This mirror is in untouched condition with its original backboard, mirror, and painting. The painting is either a water color or gouache and is in perfect condition.

As the backboard has never been off, we have not examined the picture, but it is definitely a hand-painted scene, European, and quite engaging, with horse drawn carriage figures and interesting architecture. A very satisfying mirror with rarely seen painting.
