Figured Mahogany Classical Serving Table Original Brasses, Baltimore,c.1820

This is a striking server of small size featuring beautifully figured mahogany throughout. We attribute this piece to Baltimore on the basis of its reeded legs. For a related casepiece with additional examples, see sw00809, A Carved and Reeded Mahogany Winged Wardrobe, Baltimore, c.1830.

This table was obviously treasured and used very carefully through the years and has retained its original brasses. It is in fine condition.
