French Aubusson Settee

This is a Louis XVI style settee, upholstered in its original Aubusson tapestry. The upholstery is in a decorative theme of birds, and animals surrounded with foliage and swags. The gilding is in excellent condition, and the covering has been removed strengthened and re-installed. The overall condition of this settee is very good, there is however wear to the upholstery which is to be expected. It dates from the Napoleon III period; a matching pair of chairs are also available.
