A Classical Mahogany Sheet Music Divider, probably Boston, c.1840

This is a rarely seen piece, and it was found in its original condition with its wooden knobs. Of note, are the beautifully stylized sheet music dividers, the form of which conforms to the sides of this piece, which are all solid mahogany. The craftsmanship is also excellent with the hand-dovetailed drawer sides, etc. This is the first of its type that we have seen.
