Victorian rococo style piano stoll, circa 1840

  An early English or American piano stool, signed to the bottom "J FITTER." This example is made of highly figured walnut and retains a good patinaed surface. The bottom is also hand carved in Neoclassic motives and the piece retains the original upholstery and needlework show covering with modern trim. (#1179)
