Sheraton Mahogany Chest (Salem, Mass., circa 1815)

Exceptional sheraton carved and figured mahogany swell front chest, with figured mahogany top with molded edge and extruded cookie corners with fluted edge, above turned and reeded legs with floral and punchwork carved upper section, continuing to turned legs ending in ball feet, centering four matched crotch veneered drawers with beaded edge and retaining the apparent original brass pulls. School of Samuel McIntire, Salem, Mass., circa 1815.
