Sheraton Overmantle Mirror (American, circa 1820)

Fine and rare late federal carved and gilded chimney mirror, having a cornice molded top above a rectangular eglomise tablet with shell and leaf design within a crosshatched border, above a rectangular mirror glass bordered by ebonized and reeded frame and flanked by vertical eglomise tablets with leaf design and crosshatched border, separated by half column leaf carved pilasters. American, circa 1820-25. 50" wide, 29" high.
