Federal Gilded Looking Glass (N.Y. or Philadelphia, circa 1805)

Exceptional large size federal carved and gilded architectural looking glass, with cove molded cornice with gilded spherules above a shallow frieze with applied classical ornamentation, above an allegorical eglomise painted tablet of classical theme, above the original beveled mirror plate, flanked by clustered colonnettes with turned and foliate carved capitals. New York or Philadelphia, circa 1805-15.
