A Mahogany Empire 2-drawer Worktable with Scroll Feet, New England, c.1840

This is the most stylized scroll foot worktable we have seen. The scroll legs just continue right up to the casepeice and make a very dynamic visual statement-seemingly a "quadrupus". We haven't seen another like it. The top is solid mahogany with beautiful figure. This is not the run-of-the-mill scroll worktable.
