This small tilt-top table is composed of a beautiful dark cherry. It has a fine, and highly desirable dishtop edge. The column is superbly carved with acanthus leafage and undercut, carved leaves and carved ring turning above . The scrolled feet have an interesting carved design with punchwork throughout. This is a finely constructed table, certainly designed as a table of great beauty and treasured through the years as it is in perfect condition with no repairs or restorations, whatsoever. While we consider this a New England table, the column and leafage is very reminiscent of Salem work.
Height: 26 1/4 in. Diameter: 22 in.
