These charming French spelter cherubs are a depiction a young girl and boy running with a wheel at their feet. The young boy has a baton in his raised arm and a quiver resting upon his other forearm. The young girl holds the horn of plenty upside down in her raised arm and her flowing scarf in the arm at her side. In Greek and Roman mythology, there is much symbolism regarding these cherub figures.
The figures rest upon a stepped out verde marble base which rests upon four bronze ormolu acanthus leaf feet.
